We had a night in the Lakes last night. Stopped at Mungrisedale en route to check out the horses (van is in the distance...), then walked a clockwise circuit of Derwentwater (very flooded at the bottom so we removed socks and plodged across in boots). Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon, you can just see the lavender field in the distance, free parking & toilet, the small village was surrounded with fields of lavender and sunflower .

Not at 4am when we decided the roof need to come down as the wind was hitting us sideways.

Yes double, when the pressure gets too much you can switch to single.
