Just found we were a mere stone's throw from Newport Pagnell Services! Superb serendipity.

Worlds briefest wild camp on Dartmoor.
Perfect spot then Millie dog had a great roll in some foxes poo . Ugh.
Very happy dog.
Had to walk her home with a cloud of flies following her !!!!

Next purchase a shower . Remember to take dog shampoo ( leave in van)

What is it with Westies (the dogs, not the campervans) and fox sing? Ours used to wait until she was nicely scrubbed up and white and clean after a bath, then straight down to the woods at the bottom of the garden and back streaked in the grey-black stuff.

None of our other dogs - lab, spaniel, Heinz 57 mutt - have done that. (Don't get me started on what they've all eaten though...)

Sorry, should be on Cali Dogs forum, I know.

Very nice. Been considering it for when mine arrives. In the meantime I've done some research and bought a few products to protect it myself. Still might go for the protection detailing especially having seen yours.

Excellent Loz. Hit on that place when I did a local search and sounded good.
Are you going to go for the new car detail, protection detail or something else. I'm presuming you know Adam. Always nice to have a name when you call

Looks fabulous !
It's something I'm considering too, but looking into Gtechniq, guaranteed it for multiple years.

I spoke to a chap local to me and he said, if you decide to go for the whole kit ask the VW dealer not to prepare the paint at all. Something about the initial polish takes longer. The newer the paint the less they need to prep.

New Car detail, his work is excellent, was about to have my Touareg in for 3 days but it sold quicker than I expected so had to cancel but tipped him off I was going to bring the Cali in as soon as I get it.

Bit off topic so happy to continue this in Detailing..

Did look at Gtechniq but felt too expensive for us. He does do that if required.
Detailer has recommended a certain wax every 2/3 mths to keep it topped up. He does do a maintenance safe wash. But he feels we can do that by using a PH free shampoo, 2 bucket method with microtowels. He was impressed by regime of washing , all gleaned from reading threads on here.
The detailer took over 6 hours to do the job
