We may have had the Beach for nearly six-months, but this week I had a reason to go on my first solo-overnighter, and I went wild.
I found a dead-end hard-standing by an abandoned quarry about 550-feet up in the Langdale area when visiting my son at Cumbria Uni in Ambleside - he needed some running around for his dissertation.
Pop-top down as it was very wet and windy, and being solo, kept it snug.
The rain was snow a little higher up - the hills were clear of snow when I went to bed.
Went to sleep to the sound of owls, woke to a woodpecker. Quite and undisturbed.
Hi, it is a campsite, 'Le Bregoux'. It is a lovely region and warm at this time of year. Spent eight days there on my own getting to know the van ready for the next trip with the family. Great cycling in area and I did ride through Beaumes de Venises. Is that a campsite or a private place ....
My brother-in-law lived there a few years ago , now moved to Beaumes de Venises witch is the next vilagge.
Very nice region ...
yes they do, can i ask how much? Not very exciting to anyone but me I guess - but I fitted my Dubflecta wind deflectors today and I think they look rather smart!

It's a T5.1 California mini champs bought from a uk VW dealer
Just spent nine nights staying in the Cali down in the Lake District, could happily have stayed another week as we were blessed with the weather.
Nice bit of time lapse. Great pic!!Here's ours under the stars the other weekend after a trip to Bletchley park.View attachment 20539
