I know there are many threads on this topic but not able to find an answer. As with many others the touch screen on my infotainment radio has stopped responding, in part, and see it's a common fault and that screen can be removed and replaced. My vehicle is a T6 2018 model, but left had drive if that makes any difference and does not have satnav or DAB but does have Apple Car Play etc, looks same as all the others just slightly different functions so assume screen is same. But, does anyone know of anywhere in Scotland, ideally near Edinburgh that can replace this screen for me?

I know you can do it yourself, screen is about £20 and takes about 30 mins, but I'll end up breaking trim and stuff removing the radio.

Any help appreciated

I’m on the same mission but the opposite corner of Britain. You could consider posting it if you don’t get a local / satisfactory solution. I’ve had a local guy attempt to fix ours but in this case there appears to be more wrong with ours than the screen, apparently. I digress, sorry, he recommended

Who do a postal replacement service, not cheap but needs fixing
…On my list of jobs to do.

Hope you have more success

Thanks for that. I’ve found a few where you can post it. My main worry is getting it out in the first place I’m wary of breaking clips and fixings on the surround. Taking the radio apart doesn’t bother me so much it’s all screws

well I'm of a mind to try it myself, watched the YouTube videos seems fairly simple if you take it all easy and take your time. However, my California is a LHD import and for some reason comes with the VW headhunt that does not have DAB, or navigation, but does have Apple Car play etc. Looks like all the others in the UK California but without the navigation button, says App instead. So, might instead change the whole unit out for one that has DAB, plus what I already have in Apple CarPlay , steering wheel controls etc does anyone know what my options are in terms of replacement units? I'd need it fitting, in Scotland. I did reach out via email to Ray Smith audio but no response, so any other ideas? I'm also in Birmingham sometimes (Family)

@Absolut5 Audio ltd who is a Forum member is the one to ask. He could supply a Plug & Play replacement with all the capabilities you want and plug adapters etc. Just remove old unit and replace ..It would come with a windscreen DAB aerial, easily fixed.

Lookers Glasgow replaced ours recently as the touch screen stopped working so we couldn't use the sat nav to go anywhere with a Y or a B in the address!. They told us the whole unit needed to be replaced at £2k, but thanks to the All-In warranty VW paid for it. Phew! That was done together with having another snapped suspension spring replaced - again on warranty. Oh, and the rollers on the sliding door too.
