VW Wireless Router SIM Card Questions

Good morning,

I am trying to determine which type of SIM card the VW Factory fit wireless router (Lesswire OEM I believe) requires. I have searched the manuals, Lesswire's web site and this forum, to no avail.

The choices are "Regular", "Micro" and "Nano" from EE.

I'm certain it isn't a "Nano" because EE list that as iPhone 5 type devices, however I've tried to pop the "Micro" SIM from my iPhone 4 into the slot and the SIM appears too small. I've also tried to put a "Regular" SIM in from an old mobile here and whilst it fits I cannot get it to click home.

I've ordered a "Regular" / "Micro" as they come on the same card, but before it arrives I have two questions.

(1) Does anyone know which type of SIM is actually needed?
(2) Can you explain which way round / way up it needs installing to click it home?

Hi,

It takes a regular SIM card and they go in the with contacts facing the top.

Contacts up and "cut off edge" to the right and it clicked in. Must've had operator error previously.

Works quite well. Seem to be getting free browsing from my EE Sim card at the moment ....
