Water in jack compartment

Hi! I found that on the bottom of the jack compartment, underneath the rubber carpet there was some water. I've dried it but after a day water is there again. I suspect that there might be some water under the carpet in the whole "trunk" as well. How can I dry it and what might be the reason? Anyone had similar situation?
