Water Marks - Drivers Door

I've noticed that there is a water stain on the carpet below the dash next to the drivers door. It looks to have occurred more than once as the staining is varied in colour. Any idea what can cause this? Is it just rain getting in when door open or something more sinister like an air-con or window seal leak?

Sounds like a blocked front drainage of the roof recess. Search the forum for other instances and solutions…

No it’s a weird one as I can’t seem to figure out when it happens

This happened on my T6.1 and it was the rubbish door seal that attaches to the door frame itself, it is held on by the thinest, cheapest, narrowest, two sided tape.
I am sure if you try and lift it near the curvature of the door frame on the van, you will find it is coming away.
Once I found it, (and it runs all along the top of the door, and all along the top of the sliding door) there were several other places it was starting to come away from the body.
Replaced under warranty, and service department said it was a common problem?
