I am not sure about the usability of the kitchen, if you are not able to lift a pop-up roof.
There are many situations - wild camping, bad weather, keeping low profile, etc. - where you can not raise the pop-up roof.
Cali keeps most of the functionality in such cases.

It's a good point. I think you can 'sit on the loo' (there is a shelf folds down across it) but the kitchen is certainly taller than in the Cali (which would be a bonus for lanky me once the roof is up!).
