I was hoping one of our electrical gurus was going to tell you that you could tap into it and activate an expensive factory option for the sake of a few pence. Still hoping

So, my confusion - misreading the circuits! So it appears the series resistor is fitted to T6.1 vehicles with the hydraulic roof.

It looks like the series resistors is used as part of the interface to the roof sensors - for the T6.1 the roof control moved into the special vehicles interface ecu, so this must be a way of making the roof sensors compatible with the ECU. This is my interpretation but only based on looking at the wiring diagrams.

nothing so exciting - just a plastic housing with a connector that contains a number of individual resistors.
