what to declare solar panels as ?

So insurance coming up for renewal, binning off Admiral as not mod friendly.

Just putting the final touches to 3 x 100w renogy panel installation (waiting for some pins for my deutsch dtp) and wondered how i declare them to the insurance. So did a quote with LV, nothing obvious so i asked em on chat.... after 5 mins of "thinking" they came back and said body kit !!! As it turns out Dizzy was 317 on a 4 car multi policy so pretty pleased with that !

I have 2 panels. When I reported it to vw my insurance company. They said I don’t have to tell them as it’s not a modification.

I told mine at renewal that I was about to have 3 panels fitted by Roger. Made no difference, but I did declare them

i've got mixed feelings about declaring solar panels, i mean would you declare you'd fitted a pair of roof rails with a roof box on? its not much different really in my mind
