What we did with our Cali today

Took a run out to Nostell Priory N T & then came home the long way over the High Peak, great to be out in the Cali again.

We went to Ikea yesterday in the van and bought snadwiches, crisps and drinks. Ate them in the van in the car park. The sun blazing, feet up. Felt like we were on holiday .

We have been to many of our favourite spots to park up. All seem to have many more people using them and it is like the busy weekends and Bank Holidays which we try to avoid. One of our enjoyments is to just get away from the crowds at set enjoy the views of the countryside and the van. This week very crowded car park at Old Winchester Hill mid-week, so just drove and found a small parking spot with room for one car and parked up. Enjoyed lunch in the van and nobody about. Views fields of Blue Flax.

Went for a drive in the California and covered 31 miles in the rain. Stopped and had a cup of tea halfway.

It looks like the canoe hire firm at the car park have made some nice improvements; only a small parking area but 4 x VW vans were lined up, including a superb dark red and white conversion from Wales.
