Hi all,

I'm looking at a set of Stuttgart wheels but the web site doesn't list compatible vehicles. I'm pretty sure the 18 X 8.5 ET45 option will fit my 2010 T5.1 listed on the second image. But the spec page is confusing me, so I'll ask for help. What would be the best size wheel to work with a VW 30mm lowering kit, I want it to look chunky without rubbing.

Why dont you just call them?

It's Sunday and I have at my finger tips some of the greatest California enthusiasts in the business.

What rating are these wheels, 103 or greater?

That I'm waiting on a response from them. They are load rated, they just don't say what.

Having checked a number of supplying sites they all state that there are no variations of this wheel suitable for a T5/6.

Bugger! I guess it's down to the load then. :(

not load rated enough im afraid

Stuttgart ST2

Set of 4 new wheels boxed.

Colour: Gloss Black Bronze
Size: 8.5×18″ – 9.5×18″
Fitments: 5×100 et35 or 5×112 et40
Bore: 73.1
Load Rating: 690Kg

Ahhhhh the highs and lows of fitting out your bus! :(

Would of looked awesome on my Fresco Green IMO

You need 5x120 stud fitting. it doesn't list that option. T4's are 112 I think.
Also check the wheel bore size. You need 65.1mm.

Thanks for the info B J G much appreciated!

Have a look at BBS.
They do the correct load ratings for T5s

Yeah thanks I'll take a look, though I'm finding it hard to find a unique set of wheels that will make my old girl look beautiful. I like the bronze look as I think it will work with the fresco green.

Range Rover wheels are 20's and Im looking at 18's

I am a Range Rover dealer - Discovery 3/4 factory wheels started at 17" for basic models in 2004/5 and also 18" 19" & 20" but only 19" + for V8 and D4 due to brakes. Range Rover wheels are 19" or 20" for 2006-2012 cars but 18" where available for the 2002-2005 cars. 2017+ cars can have 20"/21"/22"

Try rimstyle.com as well. You simply put your van model in and the wheels they show you are guaranteed to fit. Gary there is so helpful also. All sizes and brands and you know they will fit and be delivered to you balanced etc.

Thanks Jamie,

I'll take a look, I just thought the Stuttgart ST2 would be well uncommon on my Cali. My bus is also Fresco Green and I'm thinking bronze rims might look awesome.

In reality if you have lowered to avoid the wheels looking buried under the arch you want to go for either a 7.5" or 8" width rim.
The one shown is 7" the same as standard VW width.
7.5" with a 235 width tyre would give good rim protection from kerbing, the 8" width would obviously have less or virtually none.
The 235/55/17 is the standard VW size and lots of Brands to choose from.

You could go up to a 255 width tyre on the 8" but I found it hard to find a suitable load rated tyre in 17" diameter.
The 255 width IMO is more suited to the 18" rim size.

Have a look at this range of 17" rims

They are cool mate. And yeah I think the bronze would look awesome. You can maybe add some slightly larger tyres as well. Which will throw your speedometer a bit but not much and give you a fuller look and more curb protection. Speak to Gary at Rimstyle. He'll have loads of bronze ones. He'll also tell you if the Stuttgards will fit. Go for deeper side walls and avoid low profiles mate if you want that fuller look. It won't rub on 18s only lowered 30mm.

Found another contender for wheels only trouble is getting hold of them. 2000 load rated so no problems there.

Think I'll go 8.5 on the front & 9.5 on the rear
