Where do I attach a drive away awning?!

I’m sure this has been asked, I did search but I could do with some photos if anyone would mind? We have just bought a 2011 Cali, it has a factory fitted wind out canopy. I can’t see that there has been one of the channels mounted (drive away awning kit) by a previous owner. Someone told me the bit to attach the awning to is inside the canopy if I wind it out a bit, is this right? If so can you attach the awning without having it fully extended?

Any help (ideally photos of what I’m looking for) welcome! Thanks

Yes that’s correct. Wind out the awning and you’ll see the strip you can feed the awning onto and then wind back a bit.

Ok thanks, so no need to buy anything other than the awning then? Do I still need to buy a kit?

You will need a kador strip. I think it is 6mm to 8mm but better ask somebody who is certain!
