Which portapotti fits in the cali ocean cupboard?

Just bought my first California Ocean. It’s suggested by some sales websites that the Thetford 335 fits in the cupboard under the cutlery tray. I’ve just measured the space and it looks like it will only go in ‘sideways’ and even then, the door opening width is 385mm and the depth of the potti is 382mm - so very tight fit. Anyone doing this successfully? Also considering the Dometic 972 but looks like that’s too big.

I just purchased the TROBOLO WandaGO Lite composting Toilet. Fits no problem and all the reviews are excellent. Quite expensive but hey isn’t everything these days.

As far as I can see they are the same 335 but the "Qube" bundle comes with straps and trays. I'd get the 335, keep the cupboard space, it's already at a premium, and slot it in the boot, investing in a SpaceMate if you are that way inclined.

Thanks. For that loo, it says it’s 382mm deep. I’m not measuring my cabinet as being as deep as that right across the width. It’s less deep closer to the passenger seat. Does it fit in without turning it sideways? The pic on the Trobolo site shows it in place, but sticking out of the cupboard!

The idea is more so that the kitchen area space is already tight in terms of the essentials; pans, pots, food, and so on (albeit depends on the individual setup). Assuming you're not pooping as you're driving, you can simply unload it as/when you need from the boot. The SpaceMate tray is a godsend for being able to reach items from under the underside of the rear bed end.

My point was nothing to do with it being there it was the usage of space. Personally I prefer to maximise space for kitchen and food stuffs in the cupboard and my p*ss in the boot through the day.

Actually we do the same. The potti fits nicely in the boot.

I went for the thetford 335. Fits nicely with a bit of faffing moving the shelf up. It’s a shame that it leaves a pretty useless shelf above, below the cutlery drawer. For that reason I decided it would be best in the left hand side of the cupboard, leaving a much more useful shelf above….but for some reason VW have decided not to make the shelf on that side adjustable in height. Shame.

Well new Cali (new to me) is due to arrive on Tuesday and now getting excited. It's a July 2022 T6.1 Ocean 204 dsg and seems to have a really good spec - see attached. Bearing in mind 90% of our holidays are in Scotland (May & Sept/Oct - never in summer) and soon to be also in Ireland after our...
