Just wanted to see if anyone had the same as this. Took my T5.1 (2015 - done under 20k miles) into tyre specialist today and they pointed out wheel shudder when braking from low speed indicated worn wishbones/bushes.
I was obv. pretty surprised on a low mileage van and I'd not noticed when driving (I habitually ease off brakes as I stop), and front tyres have worn reasonably evenly. But when I watched the van being braked, the front wheels certainly do shimmy very noticeable at the moment of the stop. Tyre bloke said lots of this kind of thing...potholes, blah blah.
I took it straight round to our VWC centre. Technician there looked at it but assured me it was normal amount of play and they'd expect the same even on a brand new van, and suspension bushes last ages on T5/6s. He also said they get quite a few owners coming in after similar discussions at the tyre shop.
Anyone on here had similar??
