Folding Mirrors on Ocean T6 MY18

I've seen it mentioned on older posts that the mirrors do not fold on locking.

But looking at this Dutch video of the MY18 changes they also report this has now been added (from 5.06)

Did this change make it to the uk version of the ocean which has folding mirrors as standard?

Can anyone with a recent Build confirm?

Yes I have this on mine, from what the dealer said this is now standard on MY18

picked up mine sept 17 hold the remote lock button few sec when locking they fold

Agree, picked up my Ocean this week and they fold when you hold the lock button down on the keyfob. Surprised Guy by showing how they unfold when you turn the ignition on. Think this is standard VW stuff, same as my Yeti.

Ive got an MY18. You can fold the mirrors by turning the mirror adjustment nob to the fold position, or alternatively by holding down the lock button on the key fob for about 2 seconds, then they fold.

Hi,
No it's still there - the heat function and the fold function are at about the 11 o'clock and 2 o'clock position on the knob.

Unless yours is an my18 you will need to have it programmed.

Thanks Loz but before letting anyone loose on my data I would want to know which sections of the program would require changing as I am sure most dealers wont have a clue best if we find out and all go to our dealers and tell them what is needed

is this possible and would dealers know what to do

Absolutely no chance of getting a dealer to do it.
You need to find a member near you with VCDS to do it for you.

Yep. Mine is March 2017 and mirrors only fold from inside button. Holding fob lock button does close the windows (if they were open) though.

I removed a dealer because they are car dealers and not vans mind you they gave me the VW connect unit free but not used there service department yet

I’ve done loads, it not a secret, but the coding won’t mean much unless you have the programmer.

I picked up my MY18 recently and it has folding mirrors. Salesman said it was standard now.

With Carista, you can set whether they fold automatically when you lock the van (if you want that). Carista cheaper/easier than VCDS, but doesn't offer quite the same scope/flexibility, though most of the good stuff is in there.

For info. France And Swiss Oceans come with electric folding mirrors, but German models do not. It is an option I did not get.

My 2016 has folding mirrors, but they can only be operated by the door switch.
Checking the module with my Obdeleven module (more flexibility and cheaper than Carista) there is no option to use the remote, though some later T6 models can be adapted.
@Loz is the vcds guru and has posted details on the T6 forum.
