Folding mirrors - re-coding

Has anyone looked into getting the folding mirrors recoded so they can be switched whilst driving (slowly) as well as on locking the vehicle?

You can fold them whilst driving by using the mirror control knob. (T5.1)

Is it possible to fold them when locking? On ours it seems to only work from the knob while the ignition is still on...
