Can anyone recommend a nice site in Bournemouth, pref walk able to the beach if possible

Unfortunately there are no permanent camp sites in Bournemouth you can walk to the beach from. There are some camp sites such as the very busy Burnbake on the Purbeck side that are a walk/cycle ride to the superb beaches on Studland that might suit.
Alternatively mark your pitch and and drive to either a beach side car park or adjacent road. For instance your can either use the quite pricey but beautifully positioned public car park at Branksome beach or use one of the roads adjacent such as Lakeside road that has free unrestricted parking a shortish walk away.
You will have to get there before 9.30 am to bag a spot but then you can stay all day.
