Yes he should be prosecuted if at fault
It´s the Queen´s Highway innit ?Should he really be on the public road?
Too much ageism going on in earlier posts.
From the:
BBC Reality Check
In November 2018, there were 5.3 million over-70s with full driving licences in Britain, according to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
There were 11,245 people involved in road traffic accidents where the driver was in that age group - a rate of two per 1,000 licence holders.
For Britain's 2.8 million drivers aged 17 to 24, the rate was more than four times as high, at nine per 1,000.
The DVLA did not provide figures on whether this simply reflected that the older age group were on the road less than the younger age group. However, a separate study from the National Travel Survey suggests that over-70s drive an average of 1,000 miles a year more than under-20s.
What I want to know is who Phil insures with, because they are very good and got him a shiny new Freelander on his drive the next day.

They stopped production of the Land Rover Freelander in 2014 ?
Well, if you'd read the eye, you'd know where he was going - allegedly he's been a bit of a player in his time. Not sure where he could of been going?
Entirely agree. Looking through the various reports of the accident I see it is alleged that the Duke claimed he was blinded by the sun. Hmmm......no doubt the police report will have something to say...............
But surely the aim should be to find ways to improve safety of/for older drivers, to enable them to keep their independence, rather than just saying "they shouldn't be on the roads"?

Sandringham House is on the opposite side of the main road to the cottage/farm house where Prince Phillip actually lives. Not sure where he could of been going? I suspect hw was just going for 'a drive', in that case he should stick to the private roads of Sandringham, it does make you wonder what would of happened if it was more serious for the occupants of the other car
They probably bought a job-lot! One for each palace plus a couple of decoys.
