I think we walked past you on Saturday? On the same side as Ullwater Sailing Club near Pooley Bridge.
It was the mat outside that caught my eye.

Yep, that was us. Wasn’t the weather fabulous. Which Cali were you, there were a fair few?!

Weather was great, we are waiting for ours to be delivered. We were walking from Pooley Bridge down to Howtown, would you recommend the site.

Ah, excellent! Yes, we would stay there again. Facilities basic but clean and warm. Obviously if you can get a lakeside pitch this makes all the difference. Friendly people. Only downside we experienced was appalling coffee from the onsite cafe, but sadly that’s often the case!

This is the view of the Ffestiniog I have where I stay whilst working on the railway up there.

This is the last train of the day going back down to Porthmadog.

A great week to visit the Gower. Cracking site.

They do have a good setup there. The view is brilliant.
Lovely walk down to the Bay at low tide and my lad had a great time playing with the fish and crabs in the rock pools.
Then Worms Head a short drive away, another cracking place to spend time on a sunny day.

I am right in the middle of the photograph. At Maryport on the Cumbrian coast. We only stopped for one night. This is a very small site with only 10 pitches which is at the Marina and uses the marina’s shower, toilet and kitchen facilities. Was a very reasonable £19 for the night with electric hookup which is metered to usage. During our stay of 23 hours we boiled a kettle twice, listened to the DAB radio of about 2 hours, charged up 2 phones and used the interior lights for about 1 1/2 hours. The fridge was constantly on level 4. On leaving we had a bill to pay of 19p! Just shows what a mark-up most sites make on their EHU charge which is usually £5 per night.

Sunset at camping Les Rivages in Millau. Looking up to Pouncho d'Agast.
A lot of paragliders (?) jump from that point to keep floating there and overlook Millau and it's surroundings.
Stunning place. Even apart from that artificial viaduc.

Daylight robbery really.
I see why some people take a fan heater and make the most of hook-up.
It would be a lot fairer if it was pay for what you use plus a connection fee of £1...
