VW T6 Ocean - Has the Awning Rail always been standard equipment

I've already bought my T6 Ocean - which I love - a 2018 registered 4 Motion 150 Manual - previous owner VW 640 miles on the clock.

When I picked it up I realised that it didn't have an Awning Rail - the VW dealer told me that it was not Standard Equipment. I was a bit irritated but accepted his word - However, when I look at the current configurator it says it is standard equipment.

So - the question - does anyone know if the awning rail was standard equipment in 2018?

If you’re talking about the rail to which the awning is fitted/ sits against, then I believe that is entirely standard. I’ve never seen a Cali without such.

No - sorry - I wasn't clear - it's the Awning itself which now seems to be standard
I. have the Awning rail okay - but not the awning.
