Service, Main Dealer or Independent?

I’m sure I’ll receive plenty of different thoughts on this.
My California is late 2007, 80k miles and has a full VW main dealer history.
I can afford a main dealer service but that’s not the issue.
I have been so disappointed with VW Heritage in Bristol that I am considering my options.
What is important to me is that whoever does it does it well and I’m happy to use original parts.
What do you think?

I would try and find a recommended independent. The VW dealers are not worth the labour rates they charge. Only use dealerships if it’s unavoidable.
