Hi Folks I've recently taken delivery of a GC680. All great but can't find the fabled curtains anywhere - where they an option I missed or is there some special place they are stored?

Grey one in one of the top cupboards?

Hi Chris ours were in a cardboard box handed over by the dealer (in the thick of COVID) we didn’t order separately.

They come as standard, absolute crap on a van of 90k+ never opened mine. I use an external screen cover. They should be handed over with the van. Was it new or used.

Thanks - seeing alot of comments like this - will go with external screen I think

Thanks Mark - havent seen them so will probably check with dealer but go with external screen

I use external screens in winter, quite happy with the supplied product in summer, sat here now, birds are singing, beer Is chilling and blinds are fixing ....

Standard issue. Should be with the van.

Very different in the GC, shame they are not like the T6 and 6.1 sides are the same.

Yes, they are rather low rent for a pricy van but they do the job.

We found (T6.1) that the embedded VW magnets had poor strength to hold the curtain weight when trying to fit them and this resulted in a clumsy process, especially when trying to fit them from inside the van in pouring rain!

So we sewed on small neodymium magnets (the type with holes in them, from eBay) in between the VW ones. This makes SUCH a difference in putting up each curtain and it now takes but an instant.

We also have an external Silver Screen windscreen/door window wrapper which we use to retain inner warmth in colder weather. Very effective indeed. We may still use the curtains too, depending on our inclination at the time.
