Hey all,

Delivery of our ocean coming this month.

Cooking equipment

We are looking at

- Ridgemonkey plates and cutlery - does anyone have experience of these?
- And anyone used the Gorrillabox XL cases to store all your Ridgemonkey in?

Our thanks.

No, but if they are anywhere near as good as the compact pan system then they must be fantastic.

Amazing thanks - we were looking at the case to store them. Do you store yours loose?

Hi - we have a couple of the pans, but not the plates so can’t be help there. We store the 2 pans in the under bench drawer with various other (fold flat) pans etc. We’ve got a thin mat in the drawer to stop rattles.

I had a look online at the case you’re looking at and it looks as robust as the pans. Just a word of advice though, you should think through where you’re storing all the kit you buy, plus clothes, bedding, food etc. We did pre-buy quite a bit, partly because we’d previously rented, and mainly because it passed away the lengthy wait. But we waited until we had the van to finally work out where stuff would go, and what other things we really needed, and could fit in. There’s still more stuff we’d quite like, but would just make it cramped, and harder to live with.

The XL does come with a neoprene zip cover. So it's not like you have a metal object rattling around, unprotected.

You don't need a case if you have the neoprene cover and the XL is the size to go for as it is still fairly small (stacks of posts on here alluding to how great they are)
