Since the last Cali ocean service (22 model), the rear heater next to the bench seat starts up. Always Hi and full blast. I have tried pressing the off button on the rear control and after a few minutes, the heater springs back to life. I have tried using the front dashboard controls using the rear and sync buttons and can turn it down and get it off. The rear control panel says off. Yet, a few minutes later it is back to full blast. Before I contact the dealer, is there anything that I am missing. Thank you for your help.

First I would check that none of the buttons are stuck in then I would disconnect the battery for a few minutes see if that helps. 10mm spanner. Easier than trying to find the fuse.

My t6.1 beach was doing that… buttons were sticking… vw replaced the rear control panel under warranty in January.

I had exactly the same issue - and outcome. Rear heater has been fine since :thumb

Thanks all. I can see that the red and blue buttons are stuck. Annoying as this happened at service. Tried silicon and managed to prize the buttons out but they have no spring left. Looks like it is back to the dealer for a replacement. At least, for now I’ve managed to switch it off.

It was a warranty fix for my Ocean, so maybe book it in before you are out of time. :thumb

Same here Breeze replaced it under warranty without question, obviously its a known fault.
