Do you get a VW ID when your Grand California arrives

Hi

I’m trying find out if you get a VW ID when your Grand California is arriving.

It seems our order is somewhere between leaving the factory and on the ferry. No one knows. It apparently left the factory on March 19th and is at status 20. Other than that finding it difficult to get a further update from the factory.

Hoping to have it here for Easter but looking less likely, does anyone know the process having been there done that?

Also looking to get a scorpion track S5plus installed upon arrival. Thoughts?

I just had the scorpion installed a week ago. I am hoping it’s not very good i have no desire to get the van recovered if someone pinches it. Love that they give you two key fobs and tell you not to keep them with your keys, apparently On a lanyard round your neck is the insurance providers advice.

They do sit in the car park for a while after leaving the factory hence status 20 becomes a daily frustration.

I have been told ours left the factory on March 19th on a train heading for port. Still at Status 20 though and got told yesterday that Grand Californias are having difficulty with there updates.

I don’t know if the GC is different but generally with VW you create your own ID (they did an online ID check with a video call from Germany for me!) and then link the van to it when you take delivery via the VIN.
