Combining the two is just heaven

I have an EcoFlow in the van and the folding solar panels. We mainly use it / them at festivals. Nothing annoys me more than having to empty the boot to get to the solar panels. After a bit of thinking, a few glasses of red wine and a few hours drawing, I came up with the perfect solution

I do have two 100w panels on the roof, which charge my leisure batteries. These are specifically for my EcoFlow which I use more than the leisure batteries if I am honest. We normally only take them to festivals as we normally run the EcoFlow down after 2 days

Yes it’s the 400w panels from EcoFlow, I didn’t think they would fit either.

I found the 400w charges the Ecoflow in decent sunlight in about an hour or so can top out at more than 360w which is amazing. Although the 400w solars are quite heavy but you can use them standing up also and use as a windbreaker lol.

At the moment it’s still been developed, there are a few things I need to change, however you will need a large printer as the side brackets are over 300mm long

Can i ask with 200w of solar supporting the 2 leisure batteries why you need an Ecoflow and more panels? What are you running?

I only use the EcoFlow for 240v equipment, we always use an electric kettle and I like a cappuccino in the morning so I take my milk frother

The solar on the van is generally only guaranteed to work if we are lucky enough to park the van in the right direction.

Makes sense, I don’t have solar yet, but given all I’ve read and seen about it so far, I’m inclined to go for a portable solution only that I can position almost anywhere while the van remains in the shade (if possible).

Solar on roof is nice and easy way to have the fridge running constantly and the knowledge you’ll come back, from 6 days whilst the Cali is parked in the airport car park, and be able to start it.
(Trickle charge (from Epever) or dc-dc charger set at 12.55v via the Lesuires. ) to the starter.
(The solar charges the Lesuires whilst running 3cam dashcam, gli dual sim router, pi running Venus for remote viewing of solar / charging / SOC, and also maybe a Starlink mini. )

If you don’t use all this stuff, then portable solar will do you just fine.

I have an EcoFlow Delta 2 + Alternator Charger 800w (which can reverse charge) as well so portable solar will do just fine for now but I get your point.

For me it was also about weight. I was carrying a 400 and a 220 EcoFlow. Switching to these saved me close to 15Kg. When your rolling close to max payload every Kg helps….

Yeah, it's a shame but most users on this forum are in the UK. I'm originally from the US so ordered it there and had it forwarded to me. The Swiss Franc has become very strong against the USD so it was a no brainer for me.

Would you consider making one to go under the t6.1 rear board as they do not have a cage fitted?
