3 years in a T6.1 - warranty repairs

We had this and it happened again a few months ago after the dealer had supposedly fixed it by bending it back into shape I think. I have now made my own mechanical repair which seems to have sorted it as I felt the design seemed to be at fault.
As I have this problem again, after VW supposedly fixed it, please can you advise what your own mechanical repair was please?

Ours only sags on drivers side after 2 days it drops enough to stop roof lights working the passenger side is fine we’re in Portugal at moment temp 34 degrees

Hi. It is difficult to explain so I will see if I can get a picture but, if it helps, I did the following

Removed the small drawer
Propped the small drawer latch as wide open as I could with a piece of wood
Removed the small self tapping screw where it attaches the plastic latch part to its carrier
Drilled the screw hole out to receive a small bolt
Replaced the screw with a suitable length dome head bolt ( shallow wide dome) using a nut either side of the hole and loctite to secure. Ensure the dome is on the opposite side to the old removed screw’s head
Adjusted new bolt to act as a spacer between the dome head and the metal part it touches when closed.
Voila, catch closes with a mechanical spacer ensuring no interference with the main draw and no more bending over time.

Hope that helps. I will see about a photo although it doesn’t really look much when finished.

Also, I am not very skilled with these things so I would expect someone to be able to come up with a neater solution but this has worked for us.
