After our first week of camping every time we drive away the small lights over the kitchen and sliding door are staying on! the only way I have found to turn them off is to put it in camping mode then move to the lights button and turn off all interior lights before driving off… HELP!

Hi Nick - Its the button up by the rear view mirror that you need.

Mine did that yesterday. No amount of button pressing would make them go out. Eventually locked the van and that worked. Now thy will only work correctly in Camping mode. It’s definitely a change of operation and seems to have caught a lot of folk recently. I am guessing a software update?

It’s really frustrating when you need to hover around waiting for the lights to go out, just to be sure. Not so important when hooked up of course.

Got exactly the same problem. Been working fine; then today they would not go off as we started driving. Ended up driving all the way back from the Lake District with them on (but dimmed through the panel). They go off when you lock it so least they are not draining the battery. It is painful though - if it was a PC I would reboot. Any ideas?

The switches below the control panel. The 2 outside ones are for the map lights but the 2 inside switch the rear lights. Try them first. There is no indication they are on or off!

I think that is it. They were raised and the map light ones were pressed in. So I have now pushed them all in so they are almost flush. Will give this a try, fingers crossed.

2018 Ocean. Parked on the drive and locked it after cleaning out interior. Pater on noticed lights around sink unit were flashing. Turned them off my opening then locking the van. A while later they were flashing again. This carried on for some time until I eventually went to bed. Next morning the lights were still on, though not flashing. Tried starting the engine, but didn’t even turn over. Assumed the battery was flat so tried jump leads, but still nothing. Then noticed that the glow plug light was flashing, which apparently indicates an engine management issue. Any thoughts on this? Having followed advice from this group about secure parking, it will be difficult to get the van towed off the drive.

A constant pain. Sometimes even the switch below the mirror doesn't work. I've found that the best way is to go to the control screen overhead. Search for the Lighting option. You will find an option to turn off all interior lights.

I’m fairly sure that the interior lights back of the cab are fed from the leisure battery. I haven’t ever seen any of the lights flashing. I did a quick search on the forum, and couldn’t pull up any threads with this mentioned. To my knowledge a flashing LED signifies issues with the control unit, or maybe a bad earth.

This would be unrelated to the van not starting, unless you have a big power drain that’s pulling down both the leisure and engine batteries?

Other tip re lights off, is to select Camping Mode, and then turn the lights off via the control panel.

Thanks Hawthorn37. I’m not sure I have camping mode, or at least I’ve not found it.
