Firstly thank you to everyone who makes this such a great forum. The wealth of knowledge is invaluable.
Can anyone shed any light on what is included in the ‘Major Service’ included in the ‘3 Year Service Plan’ taken out from new on a T6.1 Ocean please? I’m aware it’s 1 x Oil Service/ change & 1 x Major Service - but my dealer has mentioned my ‘Major Service’ booked was a ‘supplementary ‘ service and therefore didn’t include the Fuel Filter & Air Filter change (Pollen filter was changed). So in 3 years I have had 1 x oil change service & 1 x ‘supplementary’ which was meant to be the Major service (oil change, filter & pollen filter & vehicle health check).
Will there be any negative effect on the vehicle not having the Furl & Air filter changed?

I have now just taken out the All in plan for 2 years!
Thanks in advance.

I assume your vehicle has low mileage hence why the dealer is telling you this, I would be and it should be having those filters done on the major especially as you’ve paid for it.

I've just had my second service done before the three year warranty is up (17K miles), 3 years old July 1st.

I'd have to check my paperwork but I think it is "two services", one of which is called an inspection service, but given it's just a video of the underside and commentary, not worth that much. It's not, AFAIK, a minor and major.

That's what I had and what was on the system. They did not even change the pollen filter for free.

MOT (passed), two new front tyres, brake fluid change and the pollen filter. 700 quid. They also fixed the coolant valve A stuck issue under warranty, which would have been 900 quid.

Had had a look at the all in, but feels overkill to me given milage - more suited to van owners who drive them for work and have the extended warranty anyway,

Yes 11500, and that’s what I thought. I did question when I collected the Cali and was told that these filters only need to be changed around 60000 miles and mine was a supplementary service. I will go back and ask again.

Thank you, yes was 1 x oil change / inspection service and 1 x major service. Thought I would get the major service done at end of 3 year warranty so I could take the All in plan out (essentially to have further 2 year warranty but also 2 years AA was £380, 2 x MOT £110 so for me peace of mind). Also as you say with your warranty repair potentially £900 then All in covers any potential mechanical /electrical failure. Van has done 11500 miles, MOT fine, recommended change rear wiper (from service notes) but I will sort that myself. Had brake fluid change at 2 years and luckily tyres are fine but very low mileage.

TBH I still think the all in is expensive for your miles, but in the end it's certainly peace of mind. I have AA free with my bank, so that covers that my side and the extended warranty I got at new.

I checked with garage today and they will refund me the pollen filter but the 3 year 2 service plan for new cars (for me) was definitely a service and then a service with inspection - no mention of minor / major.

I'm not even sure that is a thing anymore. Just service and then with extras (various filters etc). Was same on my Tiguan - std services all the way and every so often I'd get the 4WD oil and filter done, brake fluid etc until I sold at 5 years.
