POP TOP CANVAS , SEAL IS SPLITTING

Has anyone had this happen and if so what was your remedy please?

It looks like it's splitting along the stitched seam where it joins to the seal (attached to the body)?

Im Pretty sure it would need a new bellows .
Are you the owner from New ? If so VW dealer, "the part is not fit for purpose it was designed and intended, is faulty and has not lasted a reasonable amount of time as would be expected "

If not VW try Kernow Transporters in Cornwall , they supply and fit OEM and have a good reputation

You could try a repair with something like a Sika product , but you may end up just making a mess ,- see Sika website for different products

Thanks for those suggestions - I am the owner from new but 7 years in I can’t imagine VW would accept that argument ? I suppose it depends on an expected lifespan ?

Expected lifespan 10+ years no problem , argue lifetime of the vehicle!
"It's faulty and you paid a Poo poo load of money for a Camper that has a tent roof that should last at least 10 years "

Otherwise VW need to be telling future customers that the camping gear is only good for 10years ! Good luck with that sales pitch ?
