Any kind 4 berth Grand California 600 owners near Leek in Staffordshire? Ocean owner here who just wants a quick peek at the Grand.

I have been an Ocean T6 owner for a owner for about 3 years or so, but cannot cope with the lack of space for a family of 4 anymore! The sheer effort of getting us all ready for bed and ready in the mornings is resulting in us not using the van as much as I would like. I am also not a fan of pop tops.

The nearest used non-2025 4 berth one I can find is about 2 hours away in Coventry. Me and my wife would only need 10 mins or so to see if we like it! If we do, I would then be on the hunt for the cheapest possible 2019-2023 GC.

I am not loyal to VW or Californias, but it is pretty much the only campervan/motorhome <6metres long on the market that can sleep 4 without a pop top.

Have a look at the Adria Twin 600 SPB. This is what I have chosen having looked at many 6m vans for build and finish. I don't like the styling of the 600GC hump unfortunately.

The Adria Twins are on my radar, but as far as I am aware if you want a non-pop-top 4 berth that forces you up to a 640?

I did come across a Sunlight 601 that has double bunk beds at the back, but from what I can tell this leaves you with barely any cupboard space left. The Grand's beluga hump is what solves that problem! I couldn't care less what the van looks like haha

Also, the general consensus seems to be that a VW based van generally is going to better to drive and maintain than the FIAT ones. The shorter wheelbase of the Crafter for better maneuvering in tight spaces is a big plus for me. A 600 FIAT wheelbase I think is about 40cm longer than a 600 Crafter.
