Mattress options

Hi, We are very close to ordering our beach. We have been researching all the various options and it's taking us a long time! Has anyone got any views on the comfort mattress? We will be tight on space with 5 of us plus a large lab! But I think it may be better to have bed option there rather than take our own. Can anyone confirm if the bed option can be removed so we don't have to take it with us everywhere? Thanks in advance.

The downstairs bed using the 3 seat bench is not flat as the bench is sculpted to make it a comfortable seat. The comfort mattress makes the bed flat but it is a little firm. I find it perfectly OK as do all my children (7, 10, 13 and 15- not all at once) but my wife finds it too firm. It also reduces headroom when the bed is made. The comfort mattress sits on top of the multiplex when not in use- yes it is a little bulky and you can leave it at home. I like it .
