12v to 240v inverter home installation

Has anyone retrofitted a 12v to 240v inverter to a T5 (ours is 07)? If so, what investor and socket, where did you install it, and any tips gratefully received thanks.

I have a facelift so have one installed, but the socket is in such an awkward place and of course euro style that I don't use it.

Instead I have a portable one tucked under the drivers seat, when needed I plug this into the cigar socket to the right of the sink. Maybe an idea for you ?
