2014 Beach. Remap?

Good evening all.

Im looking at purchasing a beach blue motion. It seems that the bhp is a bit underwhelming at 114. I was hoping it would be possible to remap that kind of engine to something a bit more reasonable?

It’s a 2.0 diesel. 5 speed manual gearbox.

There’s only so much the 5 speed can handle I believe.
I would be looking at Bognor Motors or Pendle personally

Bognor motors did our Beach…makes a huge difference. Get uprated ARB’s fitted at the same time, then you can enjoy spirited driving on country lanes!

Are you sure it’s 5 speed? If so, worth looking for 6 speed instead.

Indeed, bluemotion has a lot of downfalls. Stop/start, 5-speed gearbox, low rolling resistance tyres.
I am glad I have the 140hp with 6-speed gear box without stop/start.
The 140 kan be tuned to about 180. The 114 is the same engine, but will indeed be limited by the gearbox. Maybe about 140 will be possible?
I have considered a few times to get mine to 180, but I wouldn't forgive myself if I would get troubles later on, so I am sticking with the factory spec.

I’m kind of sat on the fence with mine.
Might look at getting the DSG remapped by Bognor Motors
Must say though, I have use of a XLWB Sprinter 313 that Pendle remapped to approx 190. 150,000 miles on it and it pulls like a Choo Choo train

Stick so I won’t know for sure until i view it.

The van has plenty of nice things like the grey seats, 3 seat bench, awning, led/zeon lights, towbar and bike rack, 17 inch alloys i think.

Are there any clues to know the engine spec just by the looks?

Engine number might give a clue, but I’ve no idea what the codes mean
