Went for 3 weeks to Orkney. What a great place

Agreed, we spent 3 weeks in Orkney in 2016, great trip. We will go back again in a couple of years.

We kick off in February with 4 nights in London, at the Abbey Wood site. West End show lined up.
Scarborough booked in July for the music festival.
There is a trip to Grenoble in the making, probably June via Paris and Vichy.
We will return to my favourite destination from 2024, Anglesey.
Then many weekends depending on the weather.

Cracking town. We stopped here for a night and stayed for 5 at the end of our “Romantic Road” trip!
Camping Magdalena & Haus Sonnenlage - swimming in the lake was bliss as were the views, food and vibe.
There’s a sizeable camper park in the town if I remember correctly.

Iceland end of May/June, taking the Smyrill line ferry from Denemarken, stopover for a few days on the Faroer Islands.

That’s where we stayed last summer.
They had a bad run of weather, until we got there. End up with 4 glorious days and friendly German neighbours who live on the lake for 6 months of the year.
Swimming to the pontoon and plenty of cycling, would definitely go back.
Good little camp site.

That's a dream trip for me. Please post pics....
I just need to wait for kids to finish school and me saying bye to full time employment. Alternatively I could just fly and rent a 4x4 (with a roof tent) able to do the F-roads. Actually, I'd add that week to a Cali trip, why not ????

Enjoying hearing about trips planned for this year - wish we had more time! 4 days in April around N Devon and Cornwall, going to stopover at Exmoor CAMC site as been mentioned a few times on here

Good luck with that!, we live in the Peak District and probably 8 reservoirs within a few miles of me. On the up side if it’s is hot you won’t go thirsty!
