3yr Roadside assistance - do I need to advise new owner?

I bought my used Ocean last year.

I understand that the free 3yr Roadside Assistance is still valid, and transfers with the vehicle.

But do I need to inform anyone of the change of ownership?

NB So far I've not needed any assistance, but like to understand the details.

I never used mine so not sure but I believe the card is linked to the registration rather than the owner, it is the same with the warranty. Sorry I can't be more certain. Mine was a demo so I was technically the second owner (the dealer being the first).

Unless someone here can confirm a quick email to VW customer services may be the fastest way to find out.

If you have the VW Assistance Handbook then there is a Form at the back to notify them of Change of Ownership.

Yes there is a notification postcard.
