Access to Upper Bed

Are there any neat solutions?

We currently use a plastic folding step on the front rotated passenger seat.

Great question especially if you have had a few drinks and its the middle of the night.

When we bought our Cali a armrest was broken. Yes you've guess it as it was being used to climb up into the upper bed.

Some have used the telescopic ladders that are sold by QVC and Amazon but they are quite expensive. Shop around.

The other solution is to have the seats facing forward then climb onto the seat base first then the back of the seats with your foot besides the head rest.

We just stand on a rear facing front seat and hoik ourselves up, not too difficult even with a dodgy knee!

On the FB form there was a long thread about access and these telescopic ladders in particular with prices ranging from £30 up £130. All looked good and pretty much like the one above - but we never found we needed and found that hoiking our bodies up was fine, arthritic though we are

Although come to think of it, my wife is much less arthritic than me since she has two newish knees.

The FB thread pointed to the value of telescopic ladders for cleaning the roof, positioning the Vanorak properly and the like as well as going upstairs.
