I've had California Ocean since March and done around 2,600 miles. I know that Adble needs to be topped up at around 4,000 miles, ( so in about 1,400 miles for me). When I look at the Adblue range on the digital cockpit, it is saying 14,000 miles to next top up ! this can't be right ? also the Adblue waring level alert will obviously not come on if it is showing this large range. Anyone else had this issue ?

I'm not the expert here, but I believe that the Adblue tank is far bigger on the RDE2 6.1. Is your Cali RDE2?

I've the coast, picked it up in July showing a range of 14200 miles. I've done 2000 miles and it still shows 14200 miles .
Was going to book in for its 90 day check and ask them then.

Hi, sorry for the ignorance, how would I find the information on RDE2 ?

The Adblue tank is around 20L in the newer T6.1 I believe.
We have a MY22 and also have a range of around 20k km on 1 tank adblue.

90 day check??? Tell me more. 1st I've heard of that. My salesman ignores my emails now that he has my money, so there is no point contacting him. Is the 90 day thing available to everyone, or maybe just something specific to your dealership. Thanks

According to the Parker's review of the T6.1 the adblue tank is 13L, same as the T6. With a consumption of roughly, and depending on how you drive, 0.5-0.6L per 1000miles. So theoretic adblue range should be 6000 miles ish. On filling my T6 with the adblue the display gives a range of between 5000 and 5500 miles, never had 6000. There are a lot of adblue related threads on this forum and the T6 Forum - search "Adblue Range".

My 150 engine is RDE2 with the larger tank. Only 600 miles and the Adblue range shows 13500 miles to go

For information,
my 2017 T6 has an actual consumption of 1.7 l / 1000 km. (60.000 km - 4 years)
With the 13 liter tank, I have never done more than 6000 km between 2 refills.

Hi, you bio info says T6 Ocean. Is that correct? Other posts suggest you have a 6.1. What MY is your vehicle? Another thread here about the larger tank on the RDE2 models.

Not 100% sure when the cutover was, but sounds like normal behaviour for an RDE2, with the larger (25l I think) tank
Jan 1st 2021. 204 engines are RDE2, the 199 was RDE1.

According to the latest brochure the T6.1 has a 13L Adblue tank, with an average range of 4,000 miles.
Previously the 199, RDE1, engine had an average range of 6000 miles. Then there was the Adblue software update that increased consumption , hence the 8 free Adblue fill-ups from VW.

We have a MY22 and also have a range of around 20k km on 1 tank adblue.
New tank has increased to 27ltr from 13ltr.

Most previously seen with 13ltr was 6,500mls but range showing on 27ltr 6.1's has been well over twice that.
Real life range data not been put on here as yet to give an average figure.

I’ve got the 13L tank on a 199 and have just filled up again. Have put in 30 litres in 11000 miles

I've got one of the earlier 6.1 RDE2 204 engines (got mine at the beginning of April) and I've done 6k miles - the Adblue range hasn't changed from the initial value yet. I was getting worried that it was stuck, but didn't realise the tank was bigger...

Here are my last few AdBlue refills.

And the ones before…

Had an email inviting me to book in for a 90 day check up. That's all I know
