Add horns to California

I'm trying to add the extra horn to my California Ocean, but I'm having difficulty getting the double connector I have as shown in the picture to fit onto the existing connector that went to the horns. I have a splitter which fits fine onto the two new horns, but the other end, although it looks the same doesn't and appears to be too big. Has anybody got any suggestions or is it possible to buy that connector on its own?

It is something I keep thinking about actually, not that I use the horn very often, but it is more pathetic than the one fitted to my 30 year old 86cc Honda Cub!

Have you tried the T6 Forum. They are more into mods on that site .

FFS. Any water proof connector pair will do. Just chop the old one off and crimp the new one in place.

Yes that seems the easiest choice, but I really don’t want to give Volkswagen any wiggle room. Should there be a problem and a warranty claim is required

I have already had 2 from eBay where the single plug is too big for the connector on the van

The plug that connects to the van loom is correct and works however you have to use the horn supplied but after speaking to the selling they might be able to make a y cable that that allows the fitment of horns with VW connectors on - the selling is Funvans on the bay
