Has anybody added an additional 240v socket to a T6.1 ?

Have not had the need too on our T5 or T6 - one enough with multi-socket adaptor.

What are you thinking of powering with it please?

I use something like this in my T6, not sure how different the socket layout is in the T6.1

Why?
Do you want to run more than 1 mains appliance at a time?
Or do you want a mains socket in a different position?

Yes in a different position - inside a cupboard.

Thanks but not what I’m specifically looking for.

Very simple to do, if you’re ok with lectrickery? Just access the circuit breaker (not sure where it is on your model) and you’ll see the out going wires to the existing socket. Just pop your new flex (2.5mm2/3 core) into the same terminals. Run the flex to your new location and mount the new socket. Bosh.

In an ideal world you’d then test it for various RCD functions but you’re unlikely to have that kit. Obvs a pukka spark will.

Brilliant, many thanks.
My surname is Sparkes so need to get pukka’d up

Assuming small unit to fit in cupboard, 800w? 3.5A.

Just resurrecting this thread as I want to add another 240v mains socket.

We often use two mains powered devices and have a two way adaptor that plugs into the socket at the end of the sink. However, I'd like a more permanent/elegant solution and wondered if you had found a suitable location/solution for an extra socket.

I'm aware of the power limitations etc of campsite EHU power, but many larger motorhomes have multiple 240v sockets so it is certainly doable.

We had an additional one fitted to our old beach. Located in the boot, used for the fridge + easy to run extension out to an awning (just shut the cable in the boot).

Where would you be using the 2 x Mains powered devices.?
If the kitchen unit then why not put a 2 nd socket below the original
