Air bag light on

Hi there I'm new to this but thought I give it ago started engine today air bag light stayed on and error notice about air bag came on dash . Any one had same issues I know golf had a bit of a problem with air bag light but I'm hoping my California not the same ..?.

Common fault when the cabling gets tugged under the seat. Needs a quick visit to VW to reconnect and rest +/- charge of course!

Yes it's usually the loom under the (mostly driver's) seat. It usually happens after swivelling the seat or moving it, or if you store something under there it can catch on it.

You will need to visit the dealer to get the light reset and the fault investigated.

Hi there thankyou for taking the time to replie I do store stuff under seat but have removed it now .Ill pop to local garage and have it reset . I have a 2011 180 se with DSG box , thanks for all your help it really does work

Not always just loom under seat we had to have a new senor inside the seat
