All geared up: my all-seasons all-purpose T6 Ocean interior & organisation :

May seem a strange question but we are going to the Denmark meet and will be passing near Brussels. How would you feel about us filming the amazing organisation of your Cali for Campervan Cookout and maybe chatting to you about it?. I genuinely think people would love to see it.

Of course! Very welcome. In fact I had you in mind this afternoon, thinking you might be interested in some other triple use crazy load I took in:

A man can't live on some basil and mint alone, no? ;) (from fishing gear, basket, well cleaned)
I drove with it today, and did not hear it once touching the windows. Next attempt tomorrow: eggs, or chicken,... :D

Hi Abergine,

Last year my whole Stugvig collection kept coming down from the glass plate. The glass is frosted underneath and refuses to give me a permanent vacuum, even when wetted. I ditched the pieces in my junkbox together whith so many things I bought in vain for the Cali.
How did you solve this?

Regards from Amsterdam,

Marc.

Hey Marc. I must admit in the beginning I had the same problem. Then I degreased the glass thoroughly and stopped humidifying the suction caps, and really screwed till the max. Never fell off since then. Already some 5 months now.
If this is not working, but you’re convinced of the product, just put a dash of transparant silicone. Be sure before you stick the two suction caps on to first close the glasstop with the colander in the sink. You’ll see there’s only a little marge which is fitting. See pict.
Good luck!

This post is awesome.
You have you van, how you need it.
Great stuff :welcome

Wow, impressive stuff!!! Thanks for sharing. I bet that you are the only Cali on this forum with a library.

Hugely impressive but definitely not for me - organised chaos is more my style!

But I have to comment that I carry a complete library in my Kindle!

Hey Gran, I suppose my organised van is a mental escape from the house where this kind of organisation discipline is not so easily maintained, while personally I don't see chaos liveable in these 5cube.
Like eg when organising to install the lower bed I have just these folding boxes to move from the back to the kitchen. Peace&Love in a second ! ;)
About the books: first you don't find all what you're looking for on digital, second when you do find it you need to look for a shaded place to read. But above all I simply like the good old concept of it, like reading paper newspapers :embarrased

After 6 months of daily use, in all kinds of settings (as mobile office, as camper,...) and weathers, I made me a summary of all the extra tunings, DIY's, extra equipment,... that grew onto the Auberg-ine. Might be useful for the so many new newbies around here, even if of course very personal and specific. What I still carry around now might be crazy for most people, but to me it's my favourite omni-toy. Fridge, water, gaz, all permanently topped, ready to fly out at whatever spur of the moment. The way I dreamed it for years. (H)Yippie !

Auberg-ine, you are awesome!

My van could never be that tidy and organised. Functional yes most certainly. However the table wrap is a great idea and one that i recently implemented myself thanks to a £3.50 roll of what is essentially sticky back plastic from Wikos.
Very easy to apply and trim and brightens up the interior no end. I covered both tables and the fridge cover which has de grayed the van a treat.

Ah yes, let's chase that depression!
Armrests this time. Got already some sweat stains since last pre-summer, so I tried to remove the top to replace the fabric with leather:
IMG_1848.jpg IMG_1851.jpg As you see, there's a screw coming from under :Nailbiting. Stopped my attempt, and cut the 'paws' from my cow skin at the back of the bench to make me 4 new 'cow paws' :happy :

Now just have to find some horns for at the bonnet...:Grin

Amazing! How are the Ikea sliding hooks (item 1, middle section) fitted?

You can only use them sliding when the bed is horizontal. You then simply click them between the joint of the ceiling. Can have quit some kilo's on it (see fruit basket). I've put a little bit of double tape at the hook to avoid that they fall when you raise the ceiling. If you want to use them in both situations than you just have to screw them in the horizontal part of the frame (self-tapping screws) in the position you prefer most. Personally I plan to buy some more and just fix them permanently.

That's really neat and actually would be quite useful for us. Our door blind has broken and it would be useful to be able to hang something in front of the door window.

Also used them for a while to hang the second umbrella, till I found just the right gap at the boot.

We stuff the umbrella down the side of the seat.

So there you have your solution: use your walking poles to hang your mat in front of the window! ;)

Ha ha - sorted!

"Ceci n'est pas une pipe", nor is it just a camper. From time to time it serves as a 'recovery cabin' at the parking after a too happy dinner ;). I improved my 'stealth' curtain solution by simply fixing the clamps straight at the ceiling. This way I no longer have to open the shutter (where I've stored the window ventilation grids now). And as extra advantages it reinforces my storage net fixation, and avoids that the shutter each time slides open while driving. These clamps also serve me well for drying towels at the awning, hanging the water funnel from the rail, holding my drawing paper, closing the potato chips bags, ...

edit: now improved by my DIY mesh screen, hung at the Sunnersta side rails; see further post.

I've been suggested to group all my other Auberg-ine stuff here together in one thread. My pleasure.
Thx for the nice remarks you all. Bit bored now, really don't know what to improve or add further on ;). Only still have one project in mind. Keep you posted on this channel...

Fantastic! But don't you raise the roof or use the top bed?

We bought some of those stools or similar with little table tops, but actually we've found that the best use for them is for sitting at the table! as they are a bit higher than the chairs.
