Mines easy, I just aim for a pothole, that usually works!

As far as I can tell you just poke somehing thin (piece of metal wire/coat hanger) in each of the two small slots on each side of the panel and it pops out.

Off topic, Aldis are selling a battery charger for £13.99 which is okay with gel batteries. It looks a pretty good model and is made in Germany. http://www.aldiwarranty.co.uk/pdf/1817.pdf

I bought one and have charged my Sonnenschein SL80 which will one day find its way into a battery box, possibly the Accubox.
