I dunno. Been going to France for 15 years. They might be my 3rd set. I guess uprating to the Philips 200% H7s might have caused the scorching. My big mistake was trying to remove a previous set with a kitchen scourer assuming they were glass and wouldn’t be damaged.
I hardly ever drive at night in it but got caught in horrible rainstorm at night driving skiing at Easter. I couldn’t believe how rubbish the lighting was on French autoroutes. Could hardly see anything.
Our tunnel crossing is 3 hours earlier this year.
