Auxiliary Heater - thermostat settings

We've tried the Auxiliary heater a couple of times. Does anyone have any idea at what temperature the heater kicks-in based on the numerical setting.

We could only get it to work on setting 9 or 10 and then the van got really warm.

Anything lower and it made a few whirring noises but never got going.

I'd guess that the ambient temperature in the van is going to be above 20deg C at this time of the year. So this is why you need to set the dial to 9 or 10.

The whirring noises will be the heater initiating only. So perfectly normal.

And don’t worry about the ”ticking”. It’s the fuel pump!
