Awning question?

Just getting all my facts together .
The awning supplied by VW.
Does it have poles for when it is fully extended?
What is the difference between the Black and Silver awnings. Is it just the colour or is there something else that accounts for the price difference?

The wind out awning has drop down legs the silver one is more because it is colour coded
