I tested the onboard 240v socket for the first time today and tested a number of devices such as DAB radio, ipad dvb tv via dongle and then our electric blanket. All worked great apart from the blanket, the light came on for about 10seconds then it went out and stayed out. Having tried it again in the house it appears to be dead, not good considering they are £80!

Any ideas of why this may of happened and any suggestions on what else shouldn't be plugged into the inverted 240v socket in the passenger b pillar?

Thanks,

Andrew.

The inverter is only man enough for low load devices such as lap tops/chargers etc. Bear in mind it's producing 230v AC from your leisure batteries so it's limited.

I suspect you may have a faulty electric blanket.

I was looking for an over blanket that could be run off an inverter in my Beach. I couldn't find the wattage so contacted the manufacturer and told they draw 300w (150w each control) on initial warm up and once up to temperature a lot less.

This is too much for my 300w inverter so may be the same for the built in one.

The built in inverter is only 150w max so quite low
