We are playing around Babyphone Apps (iOS) to avoid buying an expensiv „real“ babyphone. ATM we are collecting experience with „Babyphone Duo“ (~€3.-):
So far our pro/cons:
+ cheap (although the fact you need 2 iOS devices, however they can be „old“.)
+ works with WiFi or provider and Bluetooth
+ easy to setup
- sometimes slow on reaction (I sat right next to the cam and tried to test how fast the app reacts on movements): Reason could be my old iPad I use as cam)
- you can only connect one and one (1 phone and 1 ipad) so the better the camera device the better the live stream
- mic to hear the sounds isn‘t working on mine.
We have no intention on using this 24/7 at the camping and we both prefer to watch our son in „live hd“
