Bad starting after long journey

Hi Everyone,

My 2006 2.5 Caravelle has spend days at the garage but various mechanics can't find a problem !
After a journey of say 20 miles, something that really gets the engine warmed up, the van's very bad at starting the next day. It always starts eventually but only after lots and lots of cranking, so much so that you think the battery will die.

Any ideas anyone ?

Had a similiar problem with my Freelander, turned out to be two injectors needed replacing, similiar age to yours.

I would suggest to check the heating glow plugs and especially their electrical supply (fuse?)
